Huge Pic Help

We're glad you came by, but you might find what you're looking for elsewhere. TI-Basic Developer is not the site it once was. While its information on commands and other calculator features remains almost second-to-none, its forum, archives, and even hosting service, Wikidot, have been decaying for years. The calculator community would love to see what you're working on, or help you in your next coding adventure, but TI-Basic Developer is no longer the place to do it. Instead, you should head over to Cemetech (primarily American) or TI-Planet (primarily international). Both are active, well-established forums with their own archives, chatrooms, reference material, and abundant coding tools and resources. We'll see you there, we hope.

I have a 10K pic on my 89, how can I actually view the dang thing?

I have an image that I want to put on my 89T. It is 345 x 249. I tried resizing it, but it lost too much detail and you couldn't make out what it represented, and I left it at its current size.

Just for kicks, I opened it in TIScreenCapture to see if it did any cropping or scaling, and it left the image as it was. Then I tried sending it to my calculator. To my great surprise, it actually went through. So now, I have a 10963 byte picture file on my 89T. I can only view the top-left section, because obviously the screen isn't big enough. Does anybody have any ideas for scaling it down or viewing the whole thing? (Not necessarily at once; maybe a program to pan around the image when I press the directional keys)?

Without assembly, you can't do much to display anything else about the picture. Although it would really be useful if one could display a picture starting from negative coordinates (make scrolling much easier, among other things).

Ok, well, then maybe I can try making my own version on-calc.
