Help needed.

We're glad you came by, but you might find what you're looking for elsewhere. TI-Basic Developer is not the site it once was. While its information on commands and other calculator features remains almost second-to-none, its forum, archives, and even hosting service, Wikidot, have been decaying for years. The calculator community would love to see what you're working on, or help you in your next coding adventure, but TI-Basic Developer is no longer the place to do it. Instead, you should head over to Cemetech (primarily American) or TI-Planet (primarily international). Both are active, well-established forums with their own archives, chatrooms, reference material, and abundant coding tools and resources. We'll see you there, we hope.

Help needed.

I wonder if you could help me, I am looking for a function which I can't find (or even know exists) on the Ti-83 plus.

I want to be able to divide a number by a certain value, then multiply the answer by the same value, and keep it going. Is there a command to do this without having to enter the calculation I need it to perform every time?

Example: 10/5 = 2, then 2 x 5 = 10, then 10/5 = 2, and repeat.

I would appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

Why in the world would you want to make this program in any case???

Why would you want to do that? It is simply reversing the process?

@     / \
@    / A \
@   /-----\
@  / B | C \
@ /____|____\

A = B * C
B = A / C
C = A / B

So if you divide a number by a certain value (A/B), then multiply the answer (C) by the same value (B) you get the first number you started with (A). Repeating this process then does nothing!

Strange… Or do you mean modular arithmetic? Because that functions completely otherwise.
