I've been wondering if it's possible to make apps on a TI-83. I've looked at some of the games I've made using programs, but the apps on my calculator seem to work so much more smoothly. Any help?
does it speed up the programs or just make them smaller? (and how much it speeds programs up if it does) anyone done tests?
it actually does nothing but waste memory. it converts the programs perfectly, and saves them slightly larger on your computer, but it still reads 16000 on the calc

actually it saves memory by compression. You can fit more than 16000 bytes of program into the 16000 application
Also, If you're like me and think that a basic program without assembly is a crime, then putting them into a basic-builder app will make the app size a page (which is 16834 bytes I think). It will also make it so that anyone downloading your app will only have one single app to run which is impervious to ram resets.
I think and therefore I thought that I shouldn't think. Of course, now that I think about it, if I hadn't thought than I would have never have thought that I should not think.
I think that's right, but look where thinking got me.
I thought a app page was 16384 bytes, not 1634
