Since the Catalog is an alphabetical list of the commands, why not just have this page redirect to the command index?

I agree. It's too big a job, and the benefits seem negligible.
But having said that, I think you should have only an alphabetical list of commands (without the descriptions) of exactly what is in the catalog.
You may want to mention on this page how Mirage OS changes a few command names in the catalog when the "Save The Whales" feature is activated and you create three folders with the names "SAVE" "THE" "WHALES". If you were to mention that small piece of history, it would also be worth mentioning that the feature was removed after version 1.0.
But I think this page should only be a list (without the Alphabetical headings).

I suppose we can list all of the commands that are actually in the catalog menu; might as well put the page to use :D I think that MirageOS trick is more of a DYK thing, although you could also add it to the assembly shells page.
I noticed you (James) included all of the commands from the command index, even though the catalog doesn't include several of them. Was there a reason for this? I also noticed you used a table for some reason…
I notice you changed your icon. it's cool.
I took a shortcut and coppied the command index. If you see anything that doesn't appear on the catalog, then feel free to remove it (because it shouldn't be there).
Also, there was a reason for my using the table. And I didn't achieve the goal I had in mind though.
You see, I thought that the catalog should simply be a list that is an exact replica of the TI catalog. But it would be useful to have the Letters on the side for quick reference. Like this, except vertical:
|command A1||command A2||command A3||command A4||command B1||command B2|
But there seems to be tiny gaps between each letter and column.
Do you like the table, or would you prefer just a simple list?
