Summary:

Im making this humongous program with 5 or 6 fors, but now, the calculator is skipping entire sections of the programming

there are many fors that are involved in a section of the program, but when the calculator runs it, all of the instructions are skipped until the very end of the fors. i checked the ends and they all match up. is there a limit of the number of fors piled on top of each other or something?

i put pauses throughout the sets of fors, and yet they all skip, down to a sub(, where there is no string yet, so the program keeps on crashing

The two cases where I can see this happening is that the variable used by a loop is altered someplace inside the loop other than the End, or that the end value is smaller than the begin value without the increment being a negative number.

Do you have any code that you could show us?

im making the DES encryption in basic. im almost done, after 2 tries. all i have to do now is sort out the fors and strings.
