I remember back when I first joined the community, I wasn't too aware of community contests (but there seems to be one every few months, now). Such contests are a great way to get known in the community, get exposed to new ideas, and they often give a chance to win neat prizes!
Earlier today, it was announced on Cemetech that tomorrow would mark the start of Cemetech's Lightning Contest #11. Typical contests last several weeks to several months, but this "lightning contest" will last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All programming languages are allowed, so BASIC, Asm, C, Grammer, and Axe, are examples of acceptable languages. The two-part topic will be announced tomorrow morning, so if you want a chance to show off your skills, give it a go!
