Alright, so since I started programming a couple months ago, I wanted to start on an actual big project, so this is where I'll post everything. I don't have code up yet, because I don't have the linking cable, but I will copy it after major updates.
Gunner is a side scrolling RPG, using simple physics and levels. Your primary weapon is a gun, and it utilizes the Horiz Mode. It was started about a week ago. It takes place in the scifi genre.
You are the greatest gunner in the world. You have fast reflexes, and are a great shot. However, the government views you as a threat. They need a way to take away that threat. They take you as a prisoner in the White House, however just treat you as their very respected guest and don't tell you that you are actually their prisoner. The president has lunches with you, and you are still allowed to shoot, because you don't suspect a thing.
Around a year later, you are walking through the halls, when you overhear a Secret Service agent talking through a ear piece. He says "Its a good thing we took him here, he could've been a big pain in the plan. The president said its time to move onto phase 2" You prepare a bag of survival stuff that night, then knock out 2 guards guarding the weapons vault, and grab a rifle. You then begin to make your escape. Along the way, you stop when you see a computer displaying Phase 2 in active. You figure out that the President is planning on world domination, and is preparing nuclear missiles for any country that didn't surrender to him.
After escaping the white house you must also survive and hid from the Secret Service, and figure out how to take out the president before he secures his plans.
Gunner features a one of a kind screen set up. Using the Horiz mode, I am using the graph screen to display the game (the screen on top), on the home screen on the bottom, you can switch between the level map and the current level stats.
The horiz mode, also helps with telling parts of the story because you can display a picture that goes with the current part of the story.
So there are couple questions I need to ask the community.
So I on the process of creating sprites, and is there a better way of creating them, then using a ton of pxl on commands?
