TI Connect Explorer Glitch Help

We're glad you came by, but you might find what you're looking for elsewhere. TI-Basic Developer is not the site it once was. While its information on commands and other calculator features remains almost second-to-none, its forum, archives, and even hosting service, Wikidot, have been decaying for years. The calculator community would love to see what you're working on, or help you in your next coding adventure, but TI-Basic Developer is no longer the place to do it. Instead, you should head over to Cemetech (primarily American) or TI-Planet (primarily international). TI Connect Explorer Glitch Help

I'm trying to connect my TI 84 Plus CE calculator to my computer, I've downloaded the TI Connect software and everything, but whenever I click on TI Explorer to add files to my device, it just displays a message "Searching for devices". My TI 84 Plus CE is plugged into my computer with the provided cable, but I'm still stuck with this weird glitch of the never ending "Searching for devices" bar, and the Explorer app won't let me close out of the app either. What can I do to fix this issue? I've already tried this on not just one, but two different Macs, each with the latest updates applied to them.

Try pushing the cable into the calculator farther.
