What does everybody think about the character bar workaround on the left bar forum navigator?

Do we like the workaround? Would we prefer a different colour background? Or having it in a different location on the navigator?

I've never used the character bar before, but putting the characters on the sidebar is pretty convenient! In my opinion, it's fine there.

I got tired of having to scroll up to the bottom of the sidebar to copy a character, so I changed the character bar to be fixed in the top right corner of the screen. What does everyone think about it? Better? Worse?

Thanks, I too was getting tired of scrolling to the top (and I remember the painful time where there was no character bar at all!). And it turns out that this method IS pretty much the accordion effect after all! Just in a vertical direction…

Yeah, I do like it better, even though the username thingy is gone, it is only the forums, so it is no big deal.

And to answer your question directly; better.

I added a "Search Bar" to the side forum navigator, because it is no longer in the top-right hand corner (and it is useful).

Same with me, I can't login in the top right above the search bar. When you login on wikidot though it comes up.

I added the login and search box back, just moving them over to make space for the character bar. Does that work for you guys?
