This problem with If and a false condition looks like a bug in the calculator. Indeed after testing with one extra blank line before End of the For-lus, and normal fast result, it seems that the problem is that there's an End immediately after the If-condition.

In terms of size, a list will virtually always win out over a matrix, but how does the speed of storing to matrices as well as recalling data from matrices compare to the speed of performing the same tasks with lists?
I'm not sure on the exact speed, but in one of my programs I stored 16x32 data into a matrix from code and it was pretty fast (a half of a second max). Storing 16 items to 32 different lists or 32 items to 16 lists would take a lot longer, I'm sure.
