I'll start us off. What is the… err… "best program" for someone who barely knows anything about assembly to start off with? Something that isn't to heavy on registers or memory usage and whatnot. I heard the generic "Hello world" program can be quite confusing… I don't know….

If you use Windows then you can just Google around a little and find some stuff.

Have you had a look at any of the TI-83+ assembly tutorials? The most popular one is Asm in 28 days, but there is also the assembly tutorial by Patai Gergely.
