Does there exists a something which allows you to write and test programs for the nspire first on your pc.

Hi,

Someone asked me to write some programs for his TI nspire cx CAS, but the problem is I don't own one. Now I can write (parts of) the program at home and go over there to put them in the calculator and test them, but I was wondering if there isn't an easier way. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance!

I don't know if one exists, but you could find a TI Nspire emulator. I am pretty sure one doesn't but theres a few for The TI-8x series. As for writing programs, you can try to find an IDE (interactive developer environment) which lets you type and compile the programs into the correct format on the computer. Again I haven't ever seen anything nspire related on the computer but maybe you can do some searching and maybe find something useful.

Doesn't IDE stand for Integrated Development Environment, which means that besides the code editor there are debugger compiler etc?

I didn't get my downloadlink yet, but in the manual there's an entire section about programming, so I'm optimistic :)

Okay, I found something else. Very helpful if you don't own a ti nspire calculator, or if you find it easier to type programs on the pc. In fact, it just the calculator for pc.
