I am not sure which free RAM to use. A game I'm making will require two greyscale buffers, which I think I could put at saveSScreen ($86EC), and appBackUpScreen ($9872), which are 768 bytes each. Other memory used could possibly be statVars ($8A3A, 531bytes) and tempSwapArea ($82A5,323bytes). This is for temporary memory only. As for three buffers, I'm not sure where I would put a third. And I may need more space for temporary memory. I will be using an Appvar, but I'm hoping to use that for more long term memory.
I think at $8100 there is 304 bytes which is "used for storing bits of code that must be run from RAM." Is this safe to use?
And at $8000 there is 256 bytes titled AppData. Is that what I can use it for?
help would be appreciated.
