Since ticalc.org does the program of the year award and it is very popular, I think it would be cool to do something similar except make it the member of the month award. We could have a call for nominations based on whatever criteria the community decides (such as most active poster on the forums), and the winner gets that award listed on their member page and on the new forums. What do you guys think?

Haha, I kind of like it :D You could give interviews and someat, and it would be a nice thing to have on your "resume" for site activity.

Well, it's an interesting idea. But not all great guys post a lot alway.
I think it should be based on several things. A few ideas:

• topics created
• voting based on helpfulness
• voting based on friendliness
• voting based on "smartest"
• voting based on author of your favorite program
• etc..

The only downside I see is that it may be that it's always the same person every year. :P

Yeah, in terms of smartness and helpfulness, Weregoose and Xeda get it every month. Perhaps a rule that you can't receive the title for 2 months after getting it?
