Site Facelift

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I have been slowly redesigning the main homepage of the site to give it a cleaner, more modern look. I think it would be nice to give the whole site a similar facelift, but I don't want to embark on that challenge until I get the community's input. What do you guys think of the changes?

Here are the main things planned:

• Move the current top navigation containing the meta-information about the site to the bottom of the page
• Move the current side navigation to the top bar on the page, utilizing three levels of nesting
  • For example, TI-83 > Development > Revising > Optimization
• Remove the side navigation, except for possibly on the forum

That seems alright to me and it won't take long to adjust.

EDIT: I think I saw 43 revisions over the past day? :P I do like the menu at the bottom, it provides a nice portal. I remember the very first time that I checked out the site, I didn't read the first page and it took me a little bit to realise where I needed to click to get to other parts of the site.

I like those ideas. Can a link to the command index be given up there also? (You could use [[tabview]] to sort the commands out y calc type).

Yeah, there will be a link to the command index up there. My hope is to use the same top navigation for the entire site, which I think will add more continuity throughout the site.
