You can disable apps and programs on your TI-calculator, including logBase, summations, stat diagnostics. Now I've done it to my calculator accidentally…screw..I suppose I'll just have to restore it using the instructions they give. Oh well, that's still super cool!
Ah, good ol' PTT. You can disable it by hooking your calc up to another person's calc and sending a file from one to another. I'm not sure if it also wipes them; I never stuck around to see the results last year after I told a couple kids how to do it.
On the other hand, yet another reason why 2.40 is the best c:
I hate double posting, but I have no alternative at them moment.
For any curious people, you can activate it by holding the left and right keys while turning on a calculator and following the instructions. It's meant to beat using programs on tests. I wouldn't recommend trying it on any calculator at your school since people might google around and tell everyone how to do it… heh.
I feel like I now know the secret to the world… Hehe, I can now mess with people

At least he is trying to help. It is better than when users will only ask questions and never try to help others with knowledge that they have. :-)

By the way, it deletes all groups (You will probably want ArchiveUndeleter, that might help to recover them). It also is available on all the most common TI-84+ models and OSes, so even 2.40 isn't safe, to my knowledge (I think it was introduced with 2.30).

Seriously? It never showed up on my Ti when I tried, but it would work on my friends' 2.41 calcs, so I assumed it was new in that version.
I know that there were definitely more Teacher-y things introduced in 2.41-3 and that 2.40 was the last one with new features, but I guess either my right key wasn't as responsive as it could've been (tetris lol) and didn't trigger ptt, I guess.
Yeah, I sometimes had difficulty entering the mode. I would try it, but I have too many groups that haven't been backed up yet.

Lol yes I was very annoyed when all of a sudden, all of my groups disappeared. Oh well, it's not too big a deal, I didn't need any of them really, they were all really old stuff I hadn't used in months ><
What's the point of the summation command? I never understood… It's 2 bytes and does the same thing as sum(seq(
Which is 2 bytes also.
And it came before MP, so it wasn't for MP.
The built-in App "CTLGHELP" would solve the problem, but it is not very specific with how to really use commands. A lot of commands are a bit repetitive; in fact, I've always thought that the operating systems for TI calc's was pretty messy and unorganized.

wait, what? its built in?
The Silver Phantom welcomes you
TI-84 Plus SE has a series of built in Apps that comes with it when it is manufactured.

was this before or after 2008? i had to download it separately.

I do not know, but the packaging on the box says it came with a series of Apps like GeoMaster, Puzzle Pack, Calibri Jr., CTLGHELP, and a few others.

Yeah my calc came with Catalog Help and puzzle pack and periodic table, all that good stuff. I got it about a year ago
i dont even have half of these apps…

Yeah, most of them are only useful to a small subset of people…
