Random Command issue

We're glad you came by, but you might find what you're looking for elsewhere. TI-Basic Developer is not the site it once was. While its information on commands and other calculator features remains almost second-to-none, its forum, archives, and even hosting service, Wikidot, have been decaying for years. The calculator community would love to see what you're working on, or help you in your next coding adventure, but TI-Basic Developer is no longer the place to do it. Instead, you should head over to Cemetech (primarily American) or TI-Planet (primarily international). Both are active, well-established forums with their own archives, chatrooms, reference material, and abundant coding tools and resources. We'll see you there, we hope.

Summary:

When repeatedly clicking "Random command" under the commands menu thing for the TI-83 page, I was repeatedly sent to the Pt-Change command over and over again, not randomly.

I clicked "Random command!" under the Commands menu under Main Content and Pt-Change came up. Okay cool, that's a pretty random command. But then when I clicked random command from that Pt-Change page, Pt-Change kept coming up as the random command, not a different random command like I hoped :( why oh why? Could you fix this? I tried it a second time in a new web page and the same thing happened: conj( came up, but then it kept coming up from that page.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with how wikidot caches pages; the random things only update once a minute or so.
Either that, or on this forum, it's set to one command a day.

The random command updates every minute due to the way Wikidot handles caching. There is a way to make it truly random and update continuously (effectively), but it's a little more difficult and probably beyond the scope of the functionality of this site. If it needs to be implemented though, it can be done.
