I am completely new to this thing, and have been learning pretty much by experimentation of If's and Repeat's, and it wasn't until fairly recently that I gained enough interest to look it up on the Internet, which is when I discovered this awesome site. Basically, I want to know how to create a timed program.
Using getKey and a bunch of If/Then statements inside a Repeat function, I have created a little "O" that can walk around the screen using the arrow keys, and, when he reaches an edge of the screen, he "loops" (for example: at the far right, he goes back to the far left, and from the last row on the bottom, he goes back to the top). This has absolutely no purpose whatsoever; I am merely experimenting because geometry class is so freaking boring that I just play with my calculator all hour.
My goal to create an entirely lame but at least accomplishing beginner's game all by myself (a.k.a. with your help): In a certain period of time, the "O" "collects" as many asterisks on the screen as he can before time runs out.
Please, if you can, don't give me something complex, or worse, give me something already programmed, because it belonged to my sister ages ago (TI-83 Plus) and the cord is gone, and I'm not showing enough interest to buy another one. Just for fun.
As I've said, I know nothing about this stuff, but it seems pretty fun (I've kind of created a hideous version of Hangman which is, surprisingly, a lot like the example on this site), and I'd like to get some help.
Thanks in advance!
