problems with calculator

We're glad you came by, but you might find what you're looking for elsewhere. TI-Basic Developer is not the site it once was. While its information on commands and other calculator features remains almost second-to-none, its forum, archives, and even hosting service, Wikidot, have been decaying for years. The calculator community would love to see what you're working on, or help you in your next coding adventure, but TI-Basic Developer is no longer the place to do it. Instead, you should head over to Cemetech (primarily American) or TI-Planet (primarily international). Both are active, well-established forums with their own archives, chatrooms, reference material, and abundant coding tools and resources. We'll see you there, we hope.

problems with calculator

I'm on my way to TI technical support, but I decided to stop in here first. There are 2 problems with my calc. the first is that sometimes, for no apparent reason, my GBDs turn into pics. they cost 767 bytes, work fine, and are still called GDBs.

The second problem is that every once in a while, when I hit prgm while in the program editor, it thinks that I'm still in the homescreen, and displays my list of prgms.

Any ideas?

(Purely guessing here:)
-Maybe an assembly keyhook gone bad? Do you have xLib or Omnicalc? Maybe you could try reinstalling/resending them.
-There are two separate commands for storing Pics and GDBs, are you sure you use the right ones? Also, can you RclPic the Pic-GDBs back on to the graph screen?
-In worst case, maybe you can reinstall your OS?

ok, yes I have Omnicalc. Which by the way, will not let me use the restoremem feature. I tried it on the ti 83 flash debugger, and it works fine. And I do have the se.

I know I'm using the right commands, and the GDB-Pics still work fine. they just use 767 bytes.

I will reinstall my os (2.43) and post again later.

I'm pretty sure an "screen display" image that takes up the entire screen is always 767 bytes…it's jsut that pic vars don't do anything about blank pixels, they just overwrite the current graph screen with the new pixels.
