Hi Evr'ybody
I started to go programming a Role Play Game for the TI 83.
I haven't a idea so i started a game like Pokemon.
I finished some modes.
The PokeBall buy Mode, The Save/Load Mode and the Professor Mode (Special mosters)
Now i search some people who wann programm with me.
Unfortunately my programming skills aren't so good…
I can program normal timetable programms, Math programms
Lbl, If, While and so on….
We can change charakters Story…. We can change evr'ything.
Pleace write here !
With your ICQ/MSN and E-mail Adress.
I'll help as much as I can - Though I don't have an 83, I can make suggestions.
Also, you can join BlackCat Software (blackcatsoft.wikidot.com), where all of our members will help you as much as possible.
EDIT: I almost forgot! Welcome to the TI|BD!
Hey, welcome to the TI|BD! I suggest registering on this site, so you can view the secret registered-people only forum ;)
(Well, okay, there isn't really one, but hey, it doesn't hurt to register)
If you want help with Pokemon, tifreak8x is probably your best source of info. He too is making a Pokemon clone, that has been going on for several years. I'm not sure if he frequents this site, but you can always find him at his forum, TI-Freakware.
Good luck with your project. :)
Do what Socks told you and join BlackCatSoft. I made a game that's turn based and maybe you can look at it for ideas…just a thought. Oh, and welcome to TI|BD!
Thank ya All
May be i'll stop to programm this game.
It isn't fun and it doesn't work at all.
But thx for Help ;)
I wouldn't just stop - I'd try to figure the problem. You say it isn't fun - why's that?
bcause thats an only catch system.
I wouldn't get a Catch AND Fight system side by side.
My Skills are too bad.
Also i've started a Normal Textbased RPG like GameFXD.
Maybe next time.
Thank ya all ;)
Hey, I would like to program with you :) I'm not experienced at all, I don't know code language, or java, or anything like that, but I would like to learn :) I only have an email, not ICQ/MSN. moc.liamg|XxfloWemalFxX#moc.liamg|XxfloWemalFxX
All of these posts were made over 1200 days ago :/ if you wanted to learn TI-BASIC, though, this site offers a starter-kit which is a tutorial of sorts.
Projects: BexIDE (hold), Hadean.NET, Legend of Zelda: Link to the Future
Hey,I know you wrote this some time ago but he,I will try with u!
Just write a reply to me if u agree.
Apple man 1001.
I wouldn't stop trying to program pokemon, except that I calculated that the necessary matrix, maps, formulas, and characters needed to emulate a certain pokemon game would take up more than 24000 bytes. In fact, they would probably take up more than the entire archive 180000 bytes, if you made an exact emulation
Tell TI to grant us access to all but 8KB of our RAM on our TI-84+/SEs. And if you're talking about the TI-83+, then yes.
Sunrise 3 Progress: 30%
Size: around 20 KB, not including the save lists and in-game RAM.
Yeah. And the full 256 pic variables and more strings would be nice.
Especially if we could rename them.

Yeah. And the full 256 pic variables
767*256=196352
and more strings would be nice.
YES. That and the string( command would be good.
Also, I mentioned this in my thread, but I was thinking of executing archived programs as well.
Sunrise 3 Progress: 30%
Size: around 20 KB, not including the save lists and in-game RAM.
Hmm, I bet I could make a small program to handle that stuff, too. Like, add a bunch of extra strings to the string menu and pictures to the pic menu. And I have made programs that intercept the OS and let you run archived programs (but only from the homescreen).
Just so y'all know, I am not saying I will do this, but it does seem like a neat and useful option.
EDIT: I did actually try it, but it won't be able to display or use the hacked tokens, sorry folks :/ I did, however, learn some undocumented stuff about the menu hooks >.>
