I'm just wondering, when TI-Nspire's BASIC matures, will it go in the z80 (83, 83+, and so on) or 68k (TI-89, Voyager, and so on) section? Or a completely new section? I don't have one, but I'm just curious as to what will happen.
Well, we already have a lot of calculators not included in either section: the TI-73, TI-80, TI-81, TI-82, TI-85, and TI-86. Some of these are similar to sections we already have, others aren't. I don't know what we'll do about that.
If we do decide to put it into a section, it will depend on what Nspire's Basic looks like, but so far it seems to be remarkably similar to the 68k Basic.
In regards to the calculators DarkerLine mentioned, all of those calculators are discontinued and there is almost no TI community development for them. I imagine it would be hard to find people willing to contribute information about them to the wiki.
EDIT: The TI-73 isn't discontinued, but there isn't much TI community development for it.
While the Nspire TI-Basic does look similar to the 68k TI-Basic, the calculator hardware certainly is different. If we are going to group the calculators based on the hardware, I think it would make sense to put the Nspire TI-Basic in its own section.
I'm not sure that will be useful considering nothing about TI-Basic depends on hardware. Of course, if the language is substantially different from 68k TI-Basic, that will be problematic.
As for the other calculators, I imagine the TI-73 and TI-82, at the least, could be put into the TI-83 series section, especially the TI-73. We'll just have to list more compatibility info on pages.
