I recently gained possession of an Input/Output Cable, Stereo 2.5mm male to 2.5mm male one designed to connect to calcs without the mini-USB cable.
I tried connecting this cable to a par of headphones using small alligator clip cables, but have had some issues.
If you look at a stereo cable, the jack is divided into 3 segments. On headphones, the two segments closest to the end of the plug are used for controlling left and right headphones, while the 3rd segment, the longest segment of the 3, is used as the common connection to the circuit.
I am not sure as to which segments do what on the calculator cable, but the layout should be similar. Can someone please tell me which segment is for input, which segment is for output, & which segment is the common connection?
My connection arragement that I tried causes the cursor to freeze on the calc until I disconnect the cable, after which operation resumes normally.
