Hi. I've been taking computer programming lessons and I LOVE it! I mainly work on JavaTool and other java applets. Neway, I'm in this advanced math class, and so most the people there are like nerds who do nothing but play video games. So one day, one of them was talking about calcprogramming. I decided to try it, and now i love it! I eventually found this site (which rox) and got hooked! I never noticed a forums section tho until recently….lol =). Neway, I showed my fisrt game to a couple of friends and now they wanna try it, so I'm setting up a freewebs tutorial with the "Basics of BASIC" in it. I have a link int here that says to come to THIS site afterwards cuz this tutorial is amazing, man! anyway, just wanted to say sup, and your site rocks =p.
Welcome to the TI-Basic developer!
You say you wrote a game - what's it like, and for what calculator? I may like to try it. Also, curious, when you have the freewebs page up, could you post the address (Or, instead of freewebs, create a wiki!)
The game I made isn't all that good and its a turn based fighting thing on the 84+ in BASIC, lol. But the website is up and it's not fully constructed yet, but it's at: [http://www.freewebs.com/tibasicinfo]. You can tell me what u think lol =p. BTW, put ur mouse over my logo =p looks awesome…
Checked out the site, and because I could, I joined your forums. I'll probably frequent there. Again, because I can.
And, a point of clarification - nerds do not do "nothing except play video games." I'd know, I am one. More than video games, we nerds prefer to seek knowledge and power, and programming gives us power.
Remember, nerds rule the world!
Don't believe me? Look at Steve Jobs and Fake Steve Jobs!
lol i know nerds don't play video games all day…I'd say I'm probly a nerd too lol. i'm just saying that the class is full of the "type of nerds that play video games all day", lol. I showed them the serpenski triangle and the first thign theysaid was tri-force….lol…and I agree, nerds do rule the world =p
Wow… that's pretty sad. Oh, yeah, something completely random: If you ever have the urge, BlackCat Software (Now with an amazing 3 members!) is looking for developers. Find us at BlackCatSoft.Wikidot.com (That's an open invitation to anyone who wants to join. Anybody who is a member of this wiki must be at least somewhat interested in programming. For the password, Unleashtheblackcat is what works for me).
Also, if you type start after the name, address, you can get past the April Fool's thing.
I joined XD! Teehee! Btw, can I give you my finished projects? U can put em on the site.
Ha! I suppose they asked you if you where "Link", "the chosen one", right? Zelda! XD
Cheers ~ James Kanjo
