Custom Number input

I'm building a program entirely on the graph screen, and at one point I need the user to only be able to input a number. The code on the custom input page for allowing numbers is a little too complex for me to figure out how to bring it down to a size where it can only do numbers. I'm not sure how to do the number conversions, and so, I ask for help.

I haven't tested this, but it should work (Note: It uses the abs( trick that DarkerLine came up with for getting the number keys):

:Repeat 6=length(Ans  // how many numbers you want
:Repeat Ans-13int(Ans/13(2>abs(5-abs(5-abs(Ans-83
:getKey
:End
:Str1+sub("123456789",Ans,1→Str1
:End
:sub(Ans,2,length(Ans)-1→Str1  // remove the dummy character

Actually, that routine doesn't take care of the 0 key. Unless there's an equally clever way of checking for the keys 0..9, this is the way to go:

:"?→Str1
:Repeat 6=length(Ans  // how many numbers you want

:sum(cumSum(getKey={74,73,72,84,83,82,94,93,92,102
:End
:Str1+sub("0123456789",Ans,1→Str1
:End
:sub(Ans,2,length(Ans)-1→Str1  // remove the dummy character

Could somebody please explain why the code round(13fPart(Ans/13(2>abs(5-abs(5-abs(Ans-83 works?

Also, in the above code, what does sum(cumSum(… do for the expression?

Also, could the above code be modified to wait until [Enter] is pressed?
