Several things:

1: Since I see that you're new here, welcome to TI-Basic Developer, yo dog84! I recommend that you look at the Rules and Starter Kit, which should help you get started programming in TI-Basic.

2: One of the rules is to not double-post on a thread (the Rules page explains it better) if someone hasn't replied yet, and that you should instead edit your post to add information that was left out. You're okay, because you obviously wouldn't have known, and that is a minor rule anyway, but something to keep in mind nonetheless.

3: The list symbol is found from one of the list or stat menus. * is found by going to the bottom of the catalog. I don't have my calculator with me, so this is off the top of my head. How exactly are you needing to type these? If you could provide more detail as to what you're trying to do, we could help you better.

The list character can be found by using the keystroke [2nd]+[STAT]+[OPS]+[UP]. As for the "/" and "*" characters, that is the division sign and multiplication sign respectively, and are buttons by themselves on the calculator.
