I'm thinking about doing a Yahtzee! game based on the graph screen. I just have a few questions, that I probably not worry about until later, but I like to have this kind of thing out of the way. First of all, when rolling dice, would it be better to A) Draw squares with numbers in them or B) Draw squares with dots in them. Also, is flashing random numbers X number of times on each die face take up more memory than it is worth, or does it aid the aesthetic appeal of the game?
How big are the dice? If they are only like 8x8, then I would probably just go with displaying the number in the dice. Drawing dots could be a hassle, since you have to check for all of the different numbers to display them. Why wouldn't just flashing the random numbers two or three times be sufficient?
