I'm in the process of making a game, and I want my character to be able to push around adjacent blocks, and have them sit still when the character doesn't push them.
That sounds like an interesting game concept. How far along in the development are you?
It's not the concept, it's a part. Like frosting isn't a cake concept, its just important to the cake/game. And to answer your question, I have player nav and a HUD all prepped and ready. The only thing I need to do is make it so the character can't leave the screen, returning a domain error. It's going to be a top-down portal, and I want Nick (my character) to be able to put the aperture science weighted storage cube on to the super collider super button, opening the door to the next chamber. The logic works,(If box coordnates=button coordnates, 1 becomes the value of Q,If Q=1 and player coordnates= door coordnates, you win!:))
What does your code look like?
sure is, that you need to use strings. (the strings are shown)
you can save the same as a matrix.
In the matrix you check, if there's enough space to pust a block away. (0=free 1=block)
because only in a matrix you can also check it if you want to push a block up or downwards.
