Tifreak8x was wondering if he could post the TI|BD content on his site (tifreakware.net)? I told him that because several people have contributed besides me, it would need to be a group decision. What do you guys think about that? Should we allow him to do that?
This is Valros.
Content, you mean the design and technique guides?
Why don't we see if we can advertise there?
I'm not really in love with the idea of posting the content of a wiki in a non-wiki place. First of all, the content of TI|BD is constantly changing, and the tifreakware.net version would keep getting out of date. Second, every visitor here is a potential editor, which wouldn't be the case on TI-Freakware.
I would see this as reasonable if each page of this content on TI-Freakware were to advertise its origin at TI|BD, making it clear that it is a wiki that anyone can edit, and providing a link to the original page. Also, if the content were updated at least semi-regularly. I still wouldn't see the point, really, but these conditions would make me not be against the idea.
I actually hadn't thought of those things, but they are very valid concerns. My reason against it was simply because TI|BD is its own site, with its own collection of content, and likewise tifreakware.net is its own site, with its own collection of content; they are two independent sites.
