Can you control a motor or a LED (or some other device) with a ti 84 through the I/O port with a specific program or do you need additional hardware to do this?
More specifically, can you splice up a 2.5 mm wire (used for calc to calc communications)(or an adapter), attach a small led, and control it with some program on the calculator?
It seems to me that you would need something like a Arduino with its own special programming to connect to your calc to control an LED. But if all you need is a program…… (sigh) this would make the ti 84 incredibly awesome…
I also remember going on instructables one day and searching "ti 84". This was among the the results. In this instructable, they use the fact that a ti 83/84 will respond to a send( command by first sending a signal through the wire which can activate the camera's shutter and take a photo. Can this capability be used in the way I want?
