We're glad you came by, but you might find what you're looking for elsewhere. TI-Basic Developer is not the site it once was. While its information on commands and other calculator features remains almost second-to-none, its forum, archives, and even hosting service, Wikidot, have been decaying for years. The calculator community would love to see what you're working on, or help you in your next coding adventure, but TI-Basic Developer is no longer the place to do it. Instead, you should head over to Cemetech (primarily American) or TI-Planet (primarily international). i would like to create a program that outputs information onto the home screen like functions do.
i already know that ultimately i could tell the program to store the value into a dummy variable such as x, but i was wondering if there was a way to get the output directly onto the home screen rather the IO screen
my program thus far looks like this:

if x=1 then
disp 6.022*10^23

I just moved a different topic of this same nature to another subforum two days ago.

If it can't be written on a TI-83+ (hint, you're using a TI-89 Titanium), then it doesn't belong on the TI-83+ Programming forum.
