For those of you who don't know me, My name is TI-Basic Dude. I have created this thread to ask every member or guest to this website. You need to be COMPLETELY HONEST.

(1) Is this website useful to you in any way?

(2) Does this website spend your time wisely?

(3) Does this website accomplish anything at all?

(4) If there was anything you could modify on this website, would would they be?

(5) Have you broke any rule in the Code of Conduct at all?

I don't completely see the point of this, but Ok:

1: Yes, very much so; I wouldn't be as good of a programmer as I am now without it

2: …Maybe not, at least not by my definition of "time spent wisely"

3: Yes, it allows those who come here to learn how to program in TI-Basic

4: Probably the theme of the Nspire pages, but I'm not a designer, so that' kinda difficult…

5: Nope. I've never had issues with following the rules on community-based websites.

Now, I have one question for you:

(1) Why did you start this discussion?

I started this to see if people REALLY care about this website. Here are my responses:

(1) Yes it is.

(2) I would not say yes, but it does kill time though.

(3) Yes, I improve my BASIC skills, and become a better programmer.

(4) The posting, that can allow you to change the text color, text size, etc.

(5) Maybe that one time…

1) Yes for sure as I started out just pushing buttons to see what they do but now with your tutorials and lessons I feel confident I can make games (basic ones though)
2) I do feel like I'm spending time wisely learning a skill that I could use in a well-paying career.
3) Yes this website manages to teach people coding and binary skills which are rather important in my mind.
4) I would add a chat section were It would be like the forums but in 1 column with your messages on the right and others on the left with picture capabilites and links to forum pages as a tool option.
5) To be honest I have no clue since I never even saw them so you guys shouls make it a mandatory thing where to join the site you must read the Code of conduct and then answer 3 questions right out of 5.

The chatbox was removed for security reasons. I am still looking for one with good User Integration that we miggt be able to use

The problem is, user integration might only be made possible with PHP, and I haven't seen any chatbox (that is free) that supports user integration (at least for Wikidot).

I kind of think that a chatbox would be somewhat pointless, since people can ask questions in the forums. Chatboxes on this site have always been abused, so I don't really see the point of adding something that will only last a few months.

true but in all honesty if you were to simply add a "bot" that would check the message before it posted and if you were to be seen as attempting to abuse the chat you would be banned from the chat for a certain amount of time

these types of bots don't always work, and as far as I know, are considerably hard to code and put in place. It is too much time and effort to try and have one of these chat boxes on this website, especially considering all of the problems they have had with it before

I get what you mean but the "bot" would just be a check before you post to the chat by having it recognize any cuss words or phrases for example if you were to type "go kill yourself" the bot would recognize this sequence of characters and not permit you to post. Also if admins and such could go to the settings and decide what words were banned along with phrases so if they notice exploits showing up they could add in the exploit and the fact that someone before said that it was hard to find a chatbox system that supports user integration. ARE YOU SERIOUS. like really dude this site revolves around coding just start some sort of competition to see who can make the best chatbox system with user integration and the winner gets $50 like really guys think outside the chatbox for once. If I could do it I would but I just turned 16 a few days ago and I still have finals I barely have the time to look t this site.

It does sound like fun though to make a chat box. I liked the chat box, since it was a thing that kept up-to-date chats. Some one should create one that has:

Custom colored text

Custom fonts

you know what I mean.

If you really need to discuss anything urgent, you could join us on IRC at #tibasicdev. Here's a page I wrote on IRC here. Much better because we can keep track of messages and kick users as necessary, and if needed, add a bot.

1) yes, if it weren't for this website, I'd still be scrambling around with incredibly long programs to do simple things. Essentially, this has helped me out a lot
2)HA! spending time wisely? pffff…..
3)yes, again, like the first question, this accomplishes a lot, and showed me that there is literally a wiki for anything
4)nothing much, everything is good
5)no… surprisingly. I'm actually really surprised that I have not broken one… yet…

I hope this helps for whatever you are doing…
