So, a few days ago, I downloaded a game called "TI-Plow",and I worked so hard on it getting to the 57th level, and when I quitted, it cleared the screen and it started to scroll through a bunch of numbers, letters, ASCII chars, and a bunch of other stuff. And after 3 minutes, it shut off, and when I turned it back on, It showed the RAM cleared screen! And I lost all my hard-worked progress! PLEASE HELP!
P.S. The game was made from R. B. Poblo
Do you have a download link that I can look at the code?
I doubt it was anything in the code, more likely just a random error in your calculator, but I can still look at the code to make sure.
Here is the link:
The game is actually made by jonbush and earthnite.
Trenly,
The program is in the program archives.
Thel Vadamee,
Did you make sure to back everything up into a group or just on your computer? If not, man I'm sorry dude I've had that happen to me quite a few times. Try to get into the habit of saving your progress. The calculator isn't perfect so whenever it encounters a major bug that could ruin the system, the calculator will clear your RAM.
HC
I do save. anyhow, here is my calc info:
TI-84 Plus
2.55MP
PROD #: 0A-3-02-37
ID: OA282-7E588-75A9
Ill tell you all that happened.
1. So I got done executing the program, pressed CLEAR to quit, and as I said in my first post, thats what happened.
sounds like your calculator just had a memory error
Does that mean if something is stored into a variable, and it runs so low or completely drains RAM from the calc if forces to crash and rest RAM Trenly?
Its possible that thats what happened. Or its possible that your calculator just misinterpreted the code and crashed. Whatever it was, I think it is/was completely random.
ya, this sounds completely and utterly random. I have had no problems with this game… calculators/computers will do things at random and we don't know why, like a computer crashing or the memory being cleared
As noted under the Technical Information section of the readme, TI-PLOW requires up to 5300 bytes of free space to run properly. If you don't have that much free RAM, you may need to archive/delete some other programs or variables.
Noted.
