Summary:

Getting an error when solving for a variable and then using that variable in the following equation.

Error: Argument must be a string

Is be a string? Try using string(be) instead of just be. If that works, then be is not a string for some reason.

Edit: Oops, I didn't see the ->be earlier in the code. That line stores it as a number, not a string. You do not need to use expr(be) then :)
