I couldn't find answer to this question anywhere... I want to make a martix A that is made from smaller matrices

Lets say
I want a matrix
A:= [[M] [N]]
[[K] [L]]

where M,N,K,L are 2x2 matrices - so I actually want A to be a 4x4 matrix

This should work on an Nspire:

augment(colAugment(M,K),colAugment(N,L))→m5

it works on 2x2 - into 4x4…
but i actually need a 6x6 made from 2x2s. a managed to make 4x6 matrix by using your line to make a 4x4 and then repeating augment(m5, colaugment(X,Y))
-> m6

Oky I think I got it- now i have to make bottom 2x6 matrix by augmenting and then colaugment 3x6 and 2x6?

So you want to create a 6x6 matrix from 9 2x2 matrices?

With matrices going top to bottom, left to right:

colAugment(augment(m1,augment(m2,m3)),colAugment(augment(m4,augment(m5,m6)),augment(m7,augment(m8,m9)))

I believe this should achieve the desired effect.
