I am a somewhat experienced Ti Basic programmer, and have made lots of programs. However, I've come to the point where I want to do more with the programs, functionality not available through TI-Basic. Thus, I looked at the assembly opcodes page, and Zeda's list. The lists all say TI-83 Plus Hex Codes, but I have a Ti-84 Plus C Silver Edition. Some of the codes worked. Specifically, the lowercase letter enabling program. However, many do not work. Some crash my calculator (I have made certain the codes are correct) and others do nothing.
Irritated, I attempted to learn hex opcodes, and their corresponding assembly commands. However, after attempting to make a simple program displaying "hi," it didn't work. One time, I only included the B-call for displaying strings, but nothing happened. Then, thinking "Done" may be covering the result, I added the B-call to move the display down a line. That crashed my calculator. I know how the assembly hex opcodes work, and the order of inputting bytes, that wasn't the problem. I think that the B-calls, and other hex opcodes have changed from Ti-83 to newer calculators.
If what I think is correct, I was wondering if anyone knew either the new hex opcodes for new calculators, or know of a way to help determine them. I've spent a lot of time researching this and haven't been able to find anything, and thought someone out there might know. Thanks in advanced!
