This is a test of java applets. Simply click on it, and then click the up or down arrow keys. If they do not work, simply click calibrate, and then click the up, and then the down arrow key. This can be used to program other keys too. The top left two buttons can be used to change the colors. This is a very simple test applet. I was thinking we could do something like have little ti calculators embedded in the web page, or have just the screen, and have interactive scripts. It's just an idea though. I have had some difficulties to share though. Before they are uploaded to wikidot, you have to make sure of two things: The html file contains just the applet code, where the applet is a jar file, and the name has no spaces and ends in .jar. The Applet is a .jar file, which is the name in the html file. Remember, no spaces. Test it to make sure it still works Upload the applet, and then the html file. They both have to still have the same name. Even the html file. Test the uploaded html file to make sure it works. If not, it is probably a simple error with a space, or not adding a .jar extension to your applet. use the iframe, with the url as the source of your html file. The attributes Height="#" and Width="#" are necessary. My applet was declared in the html file as 500 by 500, but I had to make the width and height 539. The last step is to make sure the applet is fluent, and that it works well. If it has things like "Made with …", and you don't know html, then click discuss at the bottom of the page you want to put the applet on with a link to the html file. Someone will fix it. Although applets have security that is tighter than normal applications, you should follow two rules: Don't do anything to hurt this site, or the end user. Don't do anything stupid.

Did You read the entire text? If so, what so you think? Did you try all of the colors, or use different keys?

okay. okay. i copied what you put in the first post onto my site for about a minute and it worked. i only did that because i have no idea how java (or any other non-calc programming language) works. other than that, i think a graphing calculator in this site would be a great idea. it would be nice to be able to know a site where i can use a calculator that im actually familiar with.

i believe someone did this already on TiCalc, but it required a ROM from the user

i hope im not frustrating you. im very adept at it due to the lack of a social life

yeah an TI calc would be cool…there are many ways to avoid the ROM's but, of course its illegal, we could send a request to TI…i think they might actually take it serious couse this really is the best TI programming site!!!! its all nicely orderder and sorted+ forum has an high actibity and all your questions get answered…furthermore this community is growing and thereby gaining more and more knowledge so i think we could let TI itslef supply us with a digital Calc…

Lol, no. If you where to create an object¹ for things like the screen², the cpu³, and some way to write programs⁴. I think you could figure out how the operating system loads, and just load the appropriate .8xu file. If it works, No more roms!!! Besides, as it is non-proprietary⁵ information, we could legally use the operating system.⁶
