I am trying to write the pong program on my TI-85 for fun, and It isn't working.

I am trying to write the pong program on my TI-85, and it doesn't want to cooperate. It gets to the movement of the player piece, and it gives a SYNTAX error. I hit Goto and it scrolls to the part (Ans=34)-… and it hovers over the equals sign. I know that I have everything typed in correctly, but it keeps going to that spot. I tried getting rid of that line, and it goes to the equals sign on the next line with +(Y=1)-… I don't know why it is doing that. Perhaps it is too old for this complex logic? :) If you have any ideas, please let me know!

If storying values to variables are the same as in TI-Basic… what is the whole program code?
It's hard to find the error when the whole code isn't provided.

I think the TI-85 may be limited in its use of the equal sign to be in an If statement only. This would mean that some piecewise expressions aren't available on the TI-85
