Exactly what happens to the number in rand when generating a pseudo-random number? Like, what exact equations are done to get from Number A to Number B? I know it would probably be in ROM somewhere, so I put this in the off-topic discussion, but I'm somewhat fascinated on whether this sequence of operations would be possible (or easy) to replicate.

If you read the page on the rand command, it states that L'Ecuyer's Algorithm is used

As well, randSeed has code for it (in 68k BASIC, but it can be adapted to the 83+/84+ calcs).
