How do I get Pixels to change spots? Or make an animation of someone walking?
There is more than 1 solution, however here is one I came up with. Let's make 1 of our pixels a left foot, and the other pixel our right foot. You can make them however far apart, but a good difference would be about 3, if you're going for a very small, simple character, like in portal (for the calc). Basically, you have your x position for the character. The left foot is 2 behind your x, and the right foot is 2 ahead of your x. To determine which foot to draw, see if your player x is odd or even. So:
This is not the most optimized, but you get the idea.
Also, remember to erase the previous foot before updating the X. And of course, you need to put this in your game loop (where you have your character that can move based on arrow keys, plus whatever else you have)
Hello? Does this help? Need anything else? :)
I'm still confused
You'll need to elaborate a bit more than just "How do i get pixels to change spots?" Everything is just pixels changing spots.
Overall, I might suggest that getting a few simpler games under your belt before attempting something as ambitious as Mortal Kombat would be a better strategy.
