Calculating result of a string

Good morning,

a few days ago I have a fantastic TI nspire CX II CAS, historically I have always used HP (48SX, 50G and now Prime), but I love this TI and the Student program of program processing etc ..

I am delighting myself but I am unable to develop the result of a formula containing trigonometric functions. I tried to prepend commands such as Solve, Expand ..
Nothing to do, in the result of the calculation, the program does not develop the SIN and COS calculation.
Angle format in degrees, CAS enabled ….

How can I go about developing the calculation?

the list of the program is this one:

**h:=cos(20)

Disp "result",h**

the result is "cos(20) not the result….

I'm not sure how TI Nspires work, since I'm use a TI-84+, but have you tried using the expr() command? The TI Nspire user manual lists the command "expr(): turns the character string contained in String as an expression and immediately executes it." This seems like the code you would need. I'm not sure how to implement it, though.

thanks but it is not the solution… error message "agument must be a string…"

I meant defining another variable as

expr(h
OR
expr("cos(20

I'm not sure though.

the solution is to add .0, cos(20.0) -> cos (20.)
with this notation the calculus is done
