Summary:

Separate D on one side of the equals sign in the equation 10^D=X

So I was thinking of generating some clever code where the calculator displays a number at the far right of the screen without going off it, but to do that I need to know how to get D on one side of the -> (or = ) sign in the equation 10^D=X.
If someone knows how to find the answer, that would be great!

EDIT: By the way, D represents the number of digits so the program can check for the size of a number without slow If-Then statements, which can get confusing.

$D=log(x)$ is the solution for D in the equation $10^D=x$

well assuming you have the length of your number (i used the number-to-string routine to convert it to a string (however have had a lot of trouble using elements from lists), and then length to find the length of the string. then its a simple matter of 17-D->D, and then use that as the position for your output (im guessing thats what you are using, but if not, i have no idea if that will work)
