Hello
I have problems with the connection of my TI 84 plus to a PC.
I use TI connect 5.4.0.1181 and a PC with Windows 7.
When I connect the TI 84 Plus to the computer after some seconds/minutes the TI appears as "Unknown device 7CC0 OS 2.22.0" in the TI Connect.
After I pull the new OS (TI84Plus_OS255.8Xu) on the "Unknown device 7CC0 OS 2.22.0" appears a new menu with "Calculator select". However, at this time, the connection is usually already interrupted. Sometimes it does not abort, but then I get the message: Hello, it seems that the connection between the Unknown Device 7CC0 and TI Connect is interrupted "
I have tried several different computers, also with Windows 10. Also I have tried different cables and delete the RAM without success.
Thanks for help
Try reinstalling TI-Connect CE and the 84+ OS

This I have done nearly 10 times…
But there is a driver in the TI Connect directory for Windows7. But the driver tiehdusb.sys in my Windows7 directory (…system32/drivers) is that one of the Windows XP (32 kb). I have changed this driver to the Windows7 driver (38 kb), but nothing happens. The Calculator was not found from W7. After I changed back the driver, W7 found the calculator but with the discribed problems.
Also now I have changed the batteries to 1.5 V - before I use rechargeable ones -, but also without any changes.
Have you tried using the original version of TI Connect instead of TI Connect CE? There may be some compatibility issues with the CE version depending on which service packs you have installed.
Now, I have tried to connect my PC with another TI 84 Plus and this works.
Would it help to delete the operating system - if it is possible?
No it is not possible to delete the OS, but you can try this.
Before doing this, back up all data, as this will erase everything. Install the OS, but halfway through, remove a battery. Then press and hold [MODE]. While holding it, re-insert the battery. The calculator will then say "Testing Flash" and display periods. After it's done, you can pull a battery, even if it's doing some other task. Put it back in and send the OS completely.
One interesting thing I found out though. Normally, the 84+ has about 497k of ROM, but if you erase the flash chip before sending the OS, the storage raises to 557k.

I have solved the problem. This I have found in the internet (search for: My calculator will not turn on. | Vernier):
"Remove one of the AAA batteries, hold down the DEL key while reinserting the AAA battery. The handheld might display "Waiting…Please install calculator software now". If you get this message, the information in the "Correcting the Error Waiting" section shown below will help you correct the problem. Before trying that procedure, reinstall one of the AAA batteries again. This time do not hold down the DEL key."
Connecting with TI Connect CE during this procedure I was able to install the OS 2.55.
and it took you that long to do that? lol
