okay. i think i have the Awin thing all fixed now, it was a little screwy with the timing thing. now, if i choose to turn the screen off after, say, 3min. of inactivity, if you press on, will it "break" the prog.? and does it still use battery power if the screen is "off"?
yes, it will still use power because the calc is still on and it's still processing info, but it will use much less because a majority of the power used by the calc is going to the LCD.

No. It simply turns off the screen. The program still runs. If you press on, the program will break.
so, when you press on to turn the screen on, it will break?
You don't press on to turn the screen back on. There is another code used to turn the screen back on. If you turn off the calc (blindly), then when you turn it back on, the screen will also turn on.
If you do press on, the program will break.
