So writing stuff with a calculator is pretty hard and time-consuming and I don't have much of that especially because I do this on my free time in school. So I was wondering where I could find an online emulator that can run the same programs as you put in for ti84+. (don't worry I manage my time responsibly in school)
jsTIfied is a great online emulator. Note that a ROM is needed to operate it.
jsTIfied is great, and does well for an online emulator. However, I prefer to use WabbitEMU. It also requires a ROM to operate, however, it works even if you don't have internet. I believe it to also run slightly faster as it does not have to deal with the other processing that your internet browser does.
So Trenly thanks for your help but this is on my school laptop and I can't download much of anything onto it. Thanks for the help though. Battlesquid I have seen that one before but I am still new to tech and other things like that (I am taking IT hopefully in high school) I really don't understand what you mean by ROM or how to start it up. Is it the calculator or is it something in the computer?
WabbitEmu does not require any administrator privileges, because it does not write anything to the hard-drive (except saved ROMs)

A ROM File is a copy of the factory set memory. ROM stands for read only memory, and is unique to each calculator. A ROM contains information such as serial numbers, device IDs, manufacturer data, CPU instruction sets, the kernel, etc.
ROM files are illegal to distribute, as they are considered copyrighted. However, you can create a ROM for your personal use by connecting your calculator to your computer and using software to copy the data into a ROM image. While it is possible to find ROMs on the internet, they often may be corrupted, malicious, or tracked by law enforcement.
Almost all emulators require a ROM. I don’t know exactly why this is, but I believe it has something to do with the OS requiring a certain value from the ROM. Since storing a rom for everyone to use an emulator would be illegal, that is why you mist use your own.
I frequently get errors when uploading ROMs to jsTIfied and it doesn't work at all unless I disable device recognition in my browser. If Magikarp can't run programs at all it's probably the best option though.
I thought the ROMs contained the BIOS, I can't imagine what else they would have copyrighted. Is the kernel not part of the .8xu for 83 and 84 calculators? When I use WabbitEmu or jsTIfied it says "BootFree 11.259" in place of the boot code you'd see on a real calculator, so I'm not sure if the BIOS has been recreated for them or not. I've found very little information about BootFree on Cemetech and just by searching unfortunately, so if anyone could clarify this for me I'd be very grateful.
In the early days of emulation Sony sued companies developing emulators even though they didn't include the BIOS. Some of Nintendo's consoles have had the BIOS reimplemented in the same way the IBM BIOS was as well.

Hey, Biohazard I can't seem to find the link for downloading it on mac. When I go to the other sources it is blocked.
I forgot to factor in the fact that I can't open almost any software downloaded from the internet. I've downloaded wabit and couldn't open it because of administrators.
Well, there isn't much else that we can really do then. In order to get a legal ROM file to use with jsTIfied, you would most likely need to download software to create one from your calculator. In all likelihood, you probably wouldn't be able to run that software either.
Is there a software where you can copy a ROM image from a real calculator to a ROM file? That could prove useful to me and others…

I've never been able to get TILP to work, It requires Gtk+ to be installed separately I think. Wabbitemu has a feature built in to do it, but that does not work. Finally, I was able to get my ROM's data with ROM8x, but it is in two appvars and I was unable to assemble it since I am not adept at using the command line. I did RTFM, but I was very confused about what I needed to do since as I said I'm not good at using the command line. Eventually I gave up and now use one I got off the internet.
