Um, something weird happened. Is anyone still seeing the announcements box? I do, and it has been more than 7 days.

I checked the infobox page, and the box is gone. However, the home page still has it. What is happening?

EDIT: I got rid of it by changing "last 7 days" to "last 1 week". Strange…

well, I changed it back, and it fixed it.

My guess is that "1 week" wasn't recognized.

I also think we should do away with the whole announcements thing. There is no reason to have on. I say this realizing that I think I made it.

And since I know that this will receive a lot of attention, let's just get this over with so I can say I did my part:

It was 7 days, and changing it to 1 week helped.

I actually think the announcements is useful. Hopefully, we don't announcements too often. So, when an announcement is truly needed, one can make such through the system so that it gets primary attention. It disappears after a week. And it doesn't hurt to have it.

I changed it back to 7 days. It seemed to work until, I guess the week is up.

I think there has been some miscommunication…

We want it to disappear because it has been more than 1 week, or 7 days. For some reason, having 7 days causes the include to mess up making it appear infinitely. The 1 week makes it disappear. So to make it disappear in one week, or 7 days, we need the 1 week attribute.

Sorry if I wasn't clear in my first post.
