A few months ago, one of our computers at home blew up. It happened right after we added new RAM. We installed the RAM, turned on the computer, and it exploded with a chip flying out with a smoky haze, and the computer became completely dead, unrepairable.
Is there a reason that adding RAM would make a computer explode? I've been wondering for a long time now because I simply don't see how giving the computer more free space would cause it to crash permanently.
