Hello again, after several hundred days.
I'm working on something new, and this new game utilizes two save slots.
From the main menu, you have both "NEW" and "LOAD" options. I want, when you select "NEW", to overwrite whatever data is previously stored in "SLOT 1". However, my issue is that I cannot figure out how to save all of the player's data, then be able to recall it when the player chooses "LOAD" then "SLOT 1".
How would one keep the two save slots separate? Would you create two lists, and when the user selects "SAVE" in the game menu, it stores all of their current variable values into whatever list their slot is?
I suppose I have the idea down, but, as always, the programming is the difficult part.
Help would be greatly appreciated, all.
