I need some help with this Light Cycle Game:

My light cycle game is working pretty well. But it has it's quirks, there's a giant Box and whisker plot at the top of the map, and I want the A.I to begin chasing me, but it just goes in a loop. Like I said before, i'm very new to this programming, so I have but the smallest idea of how it works.

To fix whatever might be at the top of the map, simply add some other setup commands to the beginning of the program. From what you said, you will probably want PlotsOff.

Also, for optimization, heres some things you can do:
Unless your trying to go for some somewhat cooler graphics, you can replace

:For(E,26,36
:Line(29,E,67,E,0
:End

with

:Text(-1,28,31,"      //6 spaces

Again, remember "//" is a developers note :)

As for the AI of the other cycle, you could program it so that it always goes towards your players X and Y value. To do this, you can replace

:1+pxl-Test(C+1,D
:Ans+(Ans=2 and pxl-Test(C,D-1
:Ans+(Ans=3 and pxl-Test(C-1,D→F
:C+(Ans=1)-(Ans=3→C
:D+(F=4)-(F=2→D

with

:C+(A>C)-(A<C→C
:D+(B>D)-(B<D→D

If you wanted to improve the game more, you could add a little bit of randomness to the movement of the opponent, that way your opponent doesn't always go straight at you.

That code comes straight from the light cycles page…

I've noticed an increase in people just copy/pasting sourcecode without linking to or mentioning the source. As it says in the forum rules,

Don't try to pass off someone else's work as your own — give credit to the author whenever possible.

Other people have spent time to make those programs/games, so you should do the right thing and cite them.

Okay, well I never said it was my work, i just said that i was using it and it didn't make sense, that a box and whisker plot was showing up. Plus, i'm just learning from it, so i can learn to make my own games. I have to start from somewhere obviously.

Guys, don't be too harsh. He is new and will not know about all the little rules. I'm sure you didn't Michael2_3B, so don't be too judgmental. Burr corrected him, that's all the further it needed to go. And how can he be expected to know all the rules if he has been a member for 2 days? C'mon, you have been speaking English for God knows how many years, and yet you can't even take the Tim to distinguish between you're and your? Give PixelMLP a break.

Wow, you know ALOT more than I do. And the A.I. coming for you part is very helpful. But do you think there would be a way for:

The A.I. coming at you from a certain range

And instead of just running into you, actually finding a way to block you so it can still go on?

This may be a little too much, but I know very little about the programming and how to use it, so all the help will be appreciated.
But thanks again, this has helped me a lot, and helped me learn a lot too.

Kk so time for stupid basic questions (haha see what I did there?) So I'm trying to add the light cycles program onto my calculator, but I can't for the life of me find that little triangle thingy (Δ) on my calculator. What is it called, what does it do, and where can I find it? Please help!

If you are speaking of ΔX and ΔY, those are actually two distinct variables (Delta X and Delta Y). They can be found in VARS>Window… options 8 and 9. The variables control how much X and Y respectively change on the graph screen for each pixel.
