I'm creating a game similar to cookie clicker. I'm having trouble with the cookies per second though. I'm not quite sure how to add a number of points to a score every second while still having the key to add cookies still functional. Can someone help me with this
While(cookie clickin' time) startTmr→A Repeat checkTmr(A) getKey→K If K=105 S+1→S //points for clicking a button Output(1,1,S //you only need to display the score here End S+10→S //points added every second End
That is, for a TI-84+, which is nice… But what would you say for a TI-83+?
For TI 83
While(cookie clickin' time) For(A,1,500) //edit this value to get a more accurate seconds, this may vary slightly between calcs. Also, you probably dont need super acurate seconds for this game gekKey→ K If K=105 S+1→ S //points for clicking a button Output(1,1,S //you only need to display the score here End S+10→S //points added every second End
I actually made a Cookie Clicker once. I also made one for TI-83+, I used a second counter that increased every loop iteration, and if it reached a certain value, it would zero out and add the CPS. Find out what value is best for you. My TI-83+ needed a 4, but probably because a lot of stuff happened in the loop. Look at the code, and feel free to ask questions!
