So, I borrowed a 84+CE calculator from a friend, and I noticed that the Asm84CEPrgm is crossed out with a blue horizontal line. I downloaded the newest OS from here. Why is is crossed out? I can run the TI-BOY CE emulator just fine, I just don't see why it is disabled. Does that mean it's not fully implemented? I want to enable lower-case typing and such, but to no avail.

They disabled the command on the latest OS for some reason. Assembly hex programs that you download/copy from a different calculator will run fine, you just can't edit it.

So, I think I found out why TI disabled the Asm84CEPrgm command. I think they banned it to prevent students/users from cheating on tests and such, which I think is clever and sad at the same time. I'll try to see if the calculator can accept 5.3.0, but all I got now is my Raspberry Pi and hopefully I can install TI-Connect CE and run it…
